Services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Pullen-Boos Funeral Home, Clinton, where friends may call 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Masonic rites will be conducted during the services. Burial will be in Maroa Cemetery.
Mr. Adams was born in Lane, a son of Odell and Virginia Ellen Scogin Adams.
He married Eloise Kaiser, who died in 1960. He then married Helen Clifton, Dec. 11, 1961, in Vandalia.
He was operator of the Deep Rock oil station in Clinton. Mr. Adams was a member of the Nazarene Church; DeWitt Lodge 84 AF&AM; exalted high priest, Goodbrake Chapter, R.A.M.; Clinton Council R&SM and Clinton Commandery KT.
Survivors include his wife; son Elwood, Jr. of Kenney; stepdaughters, Ronnie Mandrell and Cecelia Cox, both of Clinton; brother Paul of Clinton; two grandchildren and two step grandchildren. A brother preceded him in Death.
