Lucy Mehaffey Allison, 89, formerly of Candler, died Wednesday, January 24, 2007, at Pisgah Manor Nursing Center.
Mrs. Allison was born in Haywood County and was a daughter of the late Fred and Gertie Mehaffey. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul Franklin Allison and by a sister, Bonnie Roane and a brother, Jack Mehaffey.
Mrs. Allison worked at American Enka for 33 years before retiring as a supervisor in the Rayon Dept. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and a member of Enka Baptist Church.
Surviving are two sons, Frank Allison of Anderson, SC and Jerry Allison and his wife, Sandra, of Kernersville; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Burial will be at Pisgah View Memorial Park.
