Elizabeth Jane "Betty" Kolb, 80, formerly of Danville, died at 4 a.m. Saturday, December 29, 2007, at Rosewood Manor in Galion, Ohio.

Betty was born May 14, 1927, in Danville, Illinois, to Leslie Ferdinand and Mildred Edna Bachman White. She married Louis Carl Kolb Jr. on September 27, 1947, at St. Patrick Church in Danville. He preceded her on December 16, 1952.

Betty attended St. Mary's Academy, St. Patrick grade school and graduated from DHS in 1945. She had worked for General Motors Central Foundry and for the Prudential Insurance office in Danville for over 41 years, retiring as office manager. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and was active with the United Way campaigns. She enjoyed playing cards and especially enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Her survivors are two sons, Lou (Brenda) Kolb and John (Colleen) Kolb, a daughter, Carolyn (R. Frank) Dukes, six grandchildren, Angela (Brad) Molloy, Robert (Kellie) Kolb, David (Sally) Kolb, Suzanne Elizabeth Dukes, Jonathan Louis Dukes and Elizabeth Anne Dukes, three great-grandchildren, Marissa Renee, Matthew Alexander, and Joshua Bradley, and a sister, Pauline (Joseph) Welsch.

She was preceded by a brother, Leo Joseph White, and two sisters, Alberta Winifred Agan and Wilma Ann Smith.
