Mazie Peggy Beaver, of Rockford, Illinois, formerly of Magazine, Arkansas passed away at the age of 77 Tuesday, December 31, 2007. She was born September 5, 1930 in Corning, Arkansas to Riley Edward and Mabel Snowden Brinker. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Tom Brinker of Madison, Wisconsin.
She was married to the late Dale G. Beaver of Magazine where they owned and operated a dairy farm and raised their two children. They were actively involved in farming and were voted South Logan County Farm Family of the Year in 1965 and runner-ups in 1962 and 1964. Peggy then moved to Rockford, Illinois to begin a nursing career where she retired as a LPN after working 25 years in the nursing field. She enjoyed caring for the sick and elderly. She loved crocheting, crossword puzzles and spending time with her Siamese cats.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 5, 2008 at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Booneville with Elder James Isaacs officiating. Burial will be in Corning, Arkansas.
She is survived by one son, Larry Dale Beaver and friend Kathy Caughman of Magazine; one daughter, Kathy Bogart of Oklahoma City; two sisters, Lenoria Warner of Brunswick, Georgia and Doris Maddox of Popular Bluff, Missouri; four grandchildren, Andrea and Dustin Beaver of Magazine, Melissa Bittle of Booneville and Toby Bogart of Oklahoma Cith; three great-grandchildren, Madison and Mason Bittle of Booneville and Kylie Bogart of Oklahoma City; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family will visit with friends at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, January 5, 2008.
