Faris, Elmer L. "Red", of San Leandro, passed away Saturday, April 3, 1976. He was 63 years old. Red was founder and retired President of his own electrical contracting company, Accurate Electrical Co. of San Leandro. He was active in the Sports Car Club of America and is remembered as racing his own No. 11 Corvette. He served as Regional Executive for S.C.C.A. for one year. His most recent activity involved volunteer teaching assistance at Washington Elementary School in San Leandro. It was a job that gave him much satisfaction as he was working with first and second graders.
Mr. Faris is survived by his wife Elaine, two children, and four grandchildren. Services will be private. Donations to the Early Childhood Parent Volunteers at Washington School 250 Dutton Avenue, San Leandro are preferred.
