Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 12, 2006 at a 3:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in Melancon Funeral Home in Carencro for Dorothy P. Boudreaux, age 81, the former Dorothy Prejean, who passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2006 at 5:45 a.m. at Doctor's Hospital in Opelousas.
Interment will be in St. John Berchmans Cemetery in Cankton.
Ms. Boudreaux was a native and lifelong resident of Bristol, LA. She had been a parishioner of St. John Berchman Catholic Church in Cankton, LA.
Survivors include two sons, Houston Boudreaux, Jr. and his wife, Junette, of Cankton and Robert Lee Boudreaux of Bristol, LA; one daughter, Patsy Brasseaux of Sunset; five grandchildren, Kerri Boudreaux, Karl Boudreaux, Brent Boudreaux, Shonia Harris and Bridget Olivier; one great grandson, Gadge Boudreaux; and one sister, Dora Viator of Crowley.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Houston Boudreaux, Sr.; her parents, Adrienne Prejean and the former Ella Babineaux; and three brothers, Leo Paul Prejean, Gussie Prejean and Gurvis Prejean.
A rosary will be prayed at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until service time.
Pallbearers will be Robert Boudreaux, Houston Boudreaux, Jr., Karl Boudreaux, Brent Boudreaux, Patrick Olivier and Shane Harris.
