Services for Lucille McMillen, 75, Baldwin, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Ives Chapel United Methodist Church. The Rev. David Schoeni will officiate. Burial will be in Vinland Cemetery.

She died Tuesday, May 10, 1994, at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, Mo.

She was born March 7, 1919, in Lawrence, the daughter of Ralph and Beulah Carpenter Robertson.

She attended Knowledge Hill Grade School and was graduated from Vinland High School in 1937. She was a lifelong resident of Douglas County and Baldwin.

She was employed at Hercules Ammunition Plant at DeSoto before working for United Telephone. She was chief operator at Baldwin for more than 28 years before retiring from United Telephone in 1980.

She was a member of the Ives Chapel United Methodist Church in Baldwin, where she was the church secretary for more than 40 years.

She was also a member of United Methodist Women, American Legion Auxiliary, Mother's Club, Black Jack Historical Society and Business and Professional Women's Club, all of Baldwin.

She was married to Donald F. McMillen on Aug. 2, 1940, at Pleasant Grove. He survives.

Other survivors include two daughters, Alice Gurley and Judy Wagner, both of Baldwin; a son, Jim McMillen, Topeka; seven sisters, Leola Honstead, Madison, Wis., Gertrude Robertson and Jane Roller, both of Baldwin, Dottie Smith, Lenexa, Cleta Campbell, DeSoto, Alta Detwiller, Hoxie, and Louise Cochran, Tecumseh, Mich.; two brothers, Frosty Robertson, Manhattan, and John Robertson, Baldwin; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
