Mr. Robert E. Grover passed away on Wednesday morning April 1st, at his home in Rodman, Iowa. He had not been in good health for some time, but the end come unexpectedly.
Mr. Grover was born on Aug. 18, 1864, in Clinton County, Iowa. On Oct. 22, 1888 he was married in Tama County to Miss Jennie Sloper. After being in several different places in the northwest. Mr. Grover came to this locality in 1907. Up to the time of his removal into town at Rodman he was engaged in farming.
To morn his loss Mr. Grover leaves a widow Mrs. Jennie Grover, his mother Mrs. G. H. Grover, two sons, Vern and Will Grover and three daughters, Goldie, Mabel, and Rubie Grover. He is mourned also by four brothers, Charles H., William I., George E., Curtis I Grover, and three sisters Mrs. Angie C. Reed, Mrs Alice L. Thomas and Mrs. May C. Hickock.
The funeral services were held at the home in Rodman on Friday morning April 3rd being conducted by Rev. F. Forster after which the remains were interred in the cemetery at West bend.
Mr. Grover was respected by all who knew him as a good man and a good husband and father.
