Wife of 1. Smith Anderson Brandon, married Feb. 19, 1846. Children: Martha Elmira Brandon and William F. Brandon.

Married 2. Tilman Geter Vaughn on June 19, 1856. Children:
Hampton Nolan, Thomas Henry, Edward Geter, Lewis Payne, Nancy and Lucy Lee Vaughn.

"Mrs. Eliza A. Vaughn was born January 20, 1828 and died January 8, 1903 aged 74 years, 11 months and 18 days.

She was the daughter of the late John and Viney Reynolds and was born and reared in Callaway County. She was twice married, first to Smith Brandon in 1846. The this union two children were born; William T., who died in infancy and Elvira E Griffin, no living in Kirksville, Missouri.

She was married again in June 1856 to Fillmore G. Vaughn. To this union six children were born. The living are, H.N Vaughn, E.G. Vaughn, and Mrs. Lucy Wilson all of New Bloomfield and Mrs. Nannie Gosney of Gurdon, Arkansas.

She became a member of the Baptist Church at the age of twenty-two and was baptized by Elder P.H. Steenberger one of the Pioneer Ministers of this county.

She was ever ready to do all she could for the cause of Christ, always present at her church meetings when it was possible.

How we will miss her dear face at church and in our homes. How sad it was for us to gather around her dying couch and see her pass away; but sadder still for those of her loved ones who could not be there. But we mourn not as those who mourn without hope for we rest assured that our mother and grandmother is at rest with her loved ones who have gone before, and that her suffering on earth is over, Dear children and Grandchildren, face on earth we'll see no more, leg us thry to meet her, other shore where suffering is no more."
