FUNERAL OF MRS. BARBER
The funeral took place yesterday afternoon of Mrs. Alvin N. Barber, whose death occurred at the family home at Singley's Wednesday. The deceased had long been a resident of this county, and a large number of friends testified the respect in which she was held. The services were held at the home, and were conducted by the Rev. Huffman. Mrs. Barber was born in Ohio, near Alliance, December 12, 1850. She spent her life at her home in Michigan, her parents having removed there, until she was 20 years of age. She came to Humboldt In 1871, and In 1873 was united In marriage to Alvin N. Barber at Fortuna. To them were born eight children, two boys and six girls, all of whom are left to mourn her loss, except one, who died at an early age.
