Galena Kan., May 31.---Funeral services for Everett A. Johnson, 45 years old, who died Monday afternoon at his home in Galena Heights, will be conducted at 2:00 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Empire mission by the Rev. Dow Booe. Burial will be in Hill Crest cemetery under direction of the Derfelt funeral home. Pallbearers will be Henry Nausley, Bud Lappie, Willett Truster, Tom Moore, Victor Taskett and Pete Faulkner.

I was very lucky to find the above article. Then I had to type it because it wouldn't copy and paste. It didn't really show up in the search. I just read it because of the date.

The newspaper archive has many missing pages and years. I actually went and checked if there was a paper for the 30th of May, 1951. There was NOT.
It was unlikely it was in the paper the day he died, I tried to check it. There was 1-12 pages. I was trying to check for it, but kept having the pages go unreadable. I gave up.

Survivors include his wife Mary Harvey, sons Charles & Doyle, adopted daughter Annabelle Porter, his mother Mrs Minnie Cox, brothers John, Frank & Louis, sisters Mrs Julia Smith, Mrs Tressie Mason, Mrs Wavedell Labor & Mrs Verda Huffman.
