Lee Andrew Finn, pioneer and lifelong Chickasaw County resident who died Friday Oct 28 at 8:30 pm at his home on Houston Rt 4 at the age of 95 was laid to rest at 2 pm Saturday at Macedonia. Services were conducted by the Rev Robert Jenkins,pastor of the Macedonia Church. Interment was in the Macedonia Cemetery with Houston Funeral Home in charge. Pallbearers were; Aubrey Finn, Max Finn, Tommie Finn, Jimmie Finn, Henry Lee Finn, Pope Finn, and Lee Otis Finn. The deceased was an active civic and church leader as long as he was physically able. He had been married to the former Miss Catherine Ray for almost 74 years. Mr. Finn was a master at his trades such as grinding corn,meal and molasses and people brought corn and sorghum from far and near to let Mr. Finn do the job. He was born July 27,1860 the son of the late Rufus Finn of Texas. He leaves his wife,more affectionately known as "Miss Kitty". She is 92 Other survivors are six sons Walter A of Memphis, Frank B of Buena Vista, N.J. of Mobile,AL Roland Finn and C.E. both of Houston, and J.P. of Bowie,TX. Three daughters Mrs. Madia Vandiver of Memphis, Mrs. Hamp Austin of Blytheville,AR and Mrs. Elma G Harrington of New Orleans LA. Forty-three grand children making five generations survive.
