Born second child of Henry Elijah Willis and Ida Mae Chaney Willis, he married Ruby Roberta Rhodes, daughter of Silas Lorenzo and Janie Elizabeth Miller Rhodes on December 21, 1929 in Frederick, Tillman Co., Oklahoma.

Charlie was a farmer by choice and a carpenter by trade in Snyder, OK and enjoyed the reputation of being honest and hard-working. He valued family and friendships and was an example for all who knew him.

He is survived by his children, Betty Heien and husband David, Marlow; Wanda Jackson, Roosevelt; Aletta and husband Charles, Arab, Alabama; Coletta Willis, Snyder; Imogene Willis and husband Howard, Hueytown, Alabama; and Gene Willis and wife Joyce, Las Vegas, Nevada.

His parents and wife, Ruby preceded him in death. Burial was in Fairlawn Cemetery, Snyder, OK.
