She was born January 9, 1925 to Samuel H. and Margaret Price Hatch. Married Jack E. Parry, May 7, 1947 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. LaWana was an expert seamstress and could make a sewing machine sing. She was a lifelong active member of the LDS Church, serving in many positions, mainly Relief Society and Primary.
Survived by husband, Jack; four children, Marsha (Randy) Harris; Ray (Kim) Parry; Don (Susan) Parry and Barbara (Eduard) Van Huizen; 11 grandchildren; sister, Arlene (Leon) Walters; brothers, Keith, Sam and Kendall Hatch.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, 12 noon at the Taylorsville 3rd Ward, 1457 Atherton Drive (4340 So). Friends may call Friday, 5-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 So. Redwood Road and Saturday at the Church one hour prior to Services.
Interment: Larkin Sunset Gardens, 10600 So. 1700 East.
