He married Mary Krupski on April 8, 1931 and they raised four sons and two daughters. A fifth son died at birth.
He and Grandma moved to Regina, Saskatchewan in 1964 where Grandpa worked as a carpenter for contractors and did some cabinetry and finishing work of his own. In 1972 they moved into a new home that Grandpa built in Lemberg. He continued his carpentry work, providing treasured pieces to many of his children and grandchildren.
He passed away from a heart attack on Valentine's Day, 1981 less than two months before their 50th wedding anniversary. Grandma continued to live in the house until she sold it in 2007.
