"Connie" was the husband of Jean (nee Okarma), both life long residents of Bayonne. He was the son of Konstanty Babien and Faustina Buczkeal.

He served in the Army Air Force in WWII as a air mechanic in England.

He worked for over 30years as a circulation manager for the now defunct Bayonne Times Newspaper. He then worked for the Jersey Journal, and Maidenform, Inc.

He was a member of the Royal Arcanum insurance fraternity.

He married Jean Okarma on February 16, 1957 at Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church in Bayonne.

He was the devoted father of Donna Lamerson, and grandfather of Sandra, Christopher, Joseph, and Thomas. He was preceded in death by a sister Fay Krusko also of Bayonne. He is the brother of Anne Root of Staten Island, NY, and Frank Babien of Bayonne, and Westfield. He leaves many nieces and nephews.

He enjoyed collecting coins, and did the jumble in the paper everyday. He enjoyed his family and friends very much and enjoyed an occassional trip to Altantic City. He loved growing tomatoes, and was very proud of them. The grandchildren were the highlight of his life. He is deeply missed, and loved by all.
