Rites For Mrs. Kinser Held On Saturday in Claremore
Last funeral rites for Frances Rumley Kinser, 86, resident of Claremore for 41 years, were conducted Saturday afternoon in the Musgrove-Merriott-Smith chapel at Claremore.
Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery at Claremore.
Mrs. Kinser died Thursday afternoon in St. John's Hospital at Tulsa following an extended illness.
She was well-known in Chelsea having frequently visited here with her sister, Mrs. Harvey Hardin.
The former Sarah Frances Rumley was born April 25, 1893 at Rumley, Arkansas, named for her family. She was the daughter of the Rev. Henry and Sarah Geary Rumley. She grew up in her native state, was educated there. She was married there to Henry Kinser.
The couple moved to Oklahoma and a short time later to Follett, Texas, where they lived until the mid-1930s when they moved to Claremore. In Follett Mrs. Kinser helped to organize an Eastern Star chapter and served as its worthy matron.
She was an active member of the Methodist Church, attending as long as her health permitted.
Surviving are two daughters, Rosalie (Mrs. Sewell) Skelton and Ruby (Mrs. Hubert) Lassiter, Stillwater; four granddaughters; two great-granddaughters and two great-grandsons; a brother and two sisters, Morton Rumley of Anaheim, Calif., Dovie Holland of St. Louis and Mrs. Hardin.
