Mr. Givens died Saturday, Nov. 30, 1991, at his home.
He was born July 25, 1932, in Hutchinson to Elmer and Georgia Griggs Givens. He graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1950. A lifetime resident of the Hutchinson area, he was a partner with Roadline Products Inc. and formerly owned the Don Givens Construction Co.
Mr. Givens was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
He married Dora Lang on April 3, 1959, in Miami, Okla. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include three sons, Brett Givens, Hutchinson, Mike Lang, Castle Rock, Colo., and Steve Lang, Burrton; a daughter, Nancy Schmutz, Hutchinson; his mother, Georgia Givens, Hutchinson; two brothers, Gary, Downey, Calif., and Robert, Lawrence; a sister, Zelma Solomon, Branson, Mo.; and six grandchildren.
