Cressie Beatrice McEntire, the daughter of Granville and Clara (Crownover) Poynter, was born at Kindon Springs, Oklahoma, on January 1, 1903, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on March 7, 1994, at the age of 91 years, 2 months, and 7 days.

She grew up and attended school at Kingdon Springs.

She was united in marriage to Charles Flippin. He preceded her in death in 1931. In 1935, she married Jess McEntire, and he died in 1973.

In 1973, she sold her home in Pyatt, Arkansas, and moved to an apartment in Muskogee, Oklahoma, where she lived until March of 1992, when she moved to Aurora and lived at the Crossroads Court.

Her church was a big part of her life, and she was a member of the Abundant Life Assembly of God Church in Muskogee, Oklahoma, and while living in Aurora she had been attending the Assembly of God Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; 2 sisters, a son Jay, and one great grandson.

She is survived by one daughter, J. Vera Nelson of Aurora; 2 half-sisters, Nevah Chavez of Sacrament, California, and Avo Heausler of New Orleans, Louisiana; 4 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.
