Sherie LouNell Alberson, 34, passed away on Friday, January 5, 2007 at Oklahoma City, Okla. Services were held on Monday, January 8, 2007 at 2 p.m. at Immanuel Baptist Church, Perkins, Okla. with Pastor Duane Pratt officiating. Interment followed at Iowa Tribal Cemetery, Perkins, Okla. with Strode Funeral Home handling all of the arrangements.
Sherie was born on March 14, 1972 in Pawnee, Okla. to Frank E Prather and Hattie Dole. She married Jeremiah Alberson on March 14, 2002 in Oklahoma City, Okla.
She attended school in Mannford, Little Elm, Texas, Lake Dallas, Texas, and graduated from high school in Oklahoma City, Okla. Following high school she attended OCU and earned her Associate Degree in Legal Administration. She then worked for various law firms in the OKC area.
Sherie was a proud member of the Otoe-Missouri Tribe and the Iowa Tribe holding her membership on the Otoe-Missouri Tribe. Sherie loved her family and had a great sense of humor, always laughing and joking around with her friends and family. She enjoyed OU football and spending time with her children. She will be missed by those who loved and cherished her. She was a member of the Glorietta Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, Okla.
Sherie was preceded in death by her grandparents.
She is survived by her husband, Jeremiah Alberson; her parents, Frank and Hattie Prather; one son, Iziah Jerome Alberson of the home; three daughters, Meagan Alberson of the home, Elisa Prather and Hannah Prather of Perkins, Okla.; one grandchild, Landon Prather of Perkins, Okla.; two brothers, Jeffrey Rice of Kentucky, Danny and wife, Sunshine Prather of Kansas; and two sisters, Alicia Bowden and husband, Harold of Texas, and Cara Miller and husband, Tim of Tecumseh, Okla.
Sherie is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.
