Funeral services were held on Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Meredith Camp Ground for J.B. Watson, 82, who died at his home in Athens Thursday evening at 7:55 o'clock.
Services were conducted by Dr. W.G. Fletcher, pastor of the First Methodist Church.
Mr. Watson was born in Alabama June 23, 1859 and came to Athens in 1901, where he had resided ever since.
Survivors include his wife and eight children, Mrs. Bob Coker, George Watson, O.B. Watson, W.S. Watson, all of Athens; Mrs. Ed Graham, Route 5, Athens; Mrs. Wood Graham, Route 5 Athens; Mrs. Emma Stadnier, Phoenix, Arizona; and Mrs. Grace DeBorde, Dallas.
