Edith Ament was born on May 25, 1921, in Jasper County, Missouri, the first child of James and Hazel Crisp. She passed away on December 16, 2007, at The Fountains at Greenbriar in Independence, Missouri. She was 86 years old. Edith attended Harrisonville Public Schools and was once elected Miss Harrisonville. She was married for forty three years to the love of her life, Paul Ament. Edith was known for her natural beauty, sense of humor, and love of 70's and 80's rock music. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul, two brothers, Raymond and James Crisp, and her sister Lois Anderson. One brother, Jerry Crisp survives. She is survived by three children: Larry Ament and his wife Carolyn, of Springfield, Missouri, Patricia and her husband Roger Gnolfo of Independence, and Tina Cooper of Prairie Village, Kansas. Edith is also survived by six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 12 noon Thursday, December 20, 2007, with visitation from 11-12 at D.W.
