He served during World War II and the Korean and Vietnam wars. He was predeceased by his parents, Boyd Bowman and Virginia Bowman; and his first wife, Marlyn Ilene Reid Bowman. He was survived by his second wife (married 1988); three daughters; three sons; a brother; two sisters; 19 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A Memorial service was held on Monday March 26, 2007 at Strathmore Hills United Methodist Church, Colorado Springs, CO.
