Dorothy Jean Cross, of Little Rock, Arkansas, wife of A. W. Cross and daughter of Bryant E. and Zelda A. Summitt, passed away in her home on December 11, 2007.
She was a long time resident of the Good Shepard Center located on Alders Gate Road in Little Rock, Arkansas and a life long member of the Lone Valley Church of God located near Sims, Arkansas in Montgomery County.
She is survived by her daughter Linda G. Felton of Cabot, Arkansas; her two sons: Ronald E. Cross of Fort Worth, Texas and Donald A. Cross of Longmont, Colorado; six grandchildren: Jason, Crystal, Christopher, Amanda, Justin, and Sarah; four great grandchildren: Drew, Anna, Elyssa, and Christopher; her sister, Evaie Dean Griffin of Florence, South Carolina; and a host of nieces and nephews in South Carolina, Tennessee, Arkansas, and Texas.
Dorothy was the great, great, great granddaughter of Johann Franz Sammet and Franz Moser of Ashville, North Carolina, both Revolutionary War veterans; a great, great, granddaughter of Daniel Summit who lived near Pigeon Ford, Tennessee, a veteran of the War of 1812; great grand daughter of John Francis Summit of Sims, Arkansas; grand daughter of John Ballard Summit of Sims, Arkansas; and wife of A. W. Cross, a decorated Korean war veteran.
Interment was in Barber Cemetery at Sims, Arkansas.
