Verdean Caritha Myers Walton, 85, of St. Augustine, died Dec. 9, 2007, at Flagler Hospital following an extended illness.
Mrs. Walton was a native of St. Augustine and had resided in Palatka for 13 years before returning to St. Augustine in 1992. Mrs. Walton was a retired homemaker and a graduate of Excelsior High School class of 1940.
Services: Home Going Services will be held 1 p.m. Friday at the Chapel of Serenity, Palatka. Calling hours: 5-8 p.m. today at the Chapel of Serenity. Burial: Evergreen Cemetery, St. Augustine.
Survivors: Her children, LaRetha Walton-Leonard, Christopher Walton, Lee Vann Walton; sister, Eunice Lee Vann; 18 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives.
