Josephine was the daughter of William and Mary Ann (Hall) Russell. She married (second wife) Augustus Poindexter Moose in 1903 and they had one son: Albert Paul.

Buried At Albemarle

Albemarle, March 16 - Mrs. Josephine Moose, 62, and wife of A. P. Moose, died at the home on First street Tuesday night at 11:30 o'clock, death having followed an illness of about one year.
A daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Russell. Mrs. Moose had spend the major portion of her life in this county. She was married to Mr. Moose in 1903. Surviving are her husband, one son, A. Paul Moose, and eight step-children, those being; Mrs. B. H Lowder, Albemarle; J. V. and Cook Moose, Mrs. Mrs. J. P. Crawley, Misses Dona and Effie Moose, of Albemarle. One brother, Marshall Russell, four sisters, Mesdames Lum Hall, James Griffin, Davie Shaver and B. Carpenter, also survive as do two half-brothers, Bud Russell of Albemarle and Chas Russell of West End.
Funeral services were held at the Moose home Thursday morning at 11 o'clock, with the Rev. F. A. Bower officiating, assisted by Rev. G. H Rhodes. Interment was in Fairview cemetery.
