Claude M. Bowman, 72, Leavenworth, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Quisenberry Funeral Home chapel in Tonganoxie. Burial will be in Hubbel Hill Cemetery in Tonganoxie.
Mr. Bowman died today at the Veteran's Administration Hospital in Leavenworth.
He was born March 29, 1918, in Tonganoxie. He drove taxis for Veterans Cab Drivers until retiring in 1983.
Mr. Bowman served in the U.S. Marines and the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He married Mary Ross in 1940, in Las Vegas, Nev. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include two sons, John, Lansing, and Jack, Leavenworth; two daughters, Claudia VanDruff, Basehor, and Diane Freeman, Nome, Alaska; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
