Franklin Sloas was the son of Henry Sloas and Mary (Burton) Sloas.Private Franklin Sloas enlisted in the Fields Partian Rangers on January 05, 1863 in Carter County, Kentucky.He was captured on about May 09, 1863 in Carter County, Kentucky and was taken to Union headquarters at Louisa, Kentucky.Later he was transfered to Camp Chase Prison, where he died from Typhoid Fever.
