Sandra K. Albers, 65, of Olathe, Kan. passed away at her home on November 26, 2007. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 515 S. Ridgeview Rd. Olathe. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, at McGilley & Frye Funeral Home, 105 E. Loula St., Olathe. Internment will be at Pleasant Valley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation (www.komen.org)and or Lance Armstrong Foundation (www.livestrong.org)
Sandra was born Oct. 9, 1942, in Sully, Iowa. She graduated from the University of Iowa in 1965. She was married to Dale Albers on Sept. 19, 1965. Sandra was a Medical Technologist and retired on Jan. 5, 2007
She is survived by her husband, Dale of the home; parents, Claire and Bernice Butin of Monroe, Iowa; brother, Robert Butin of Ames, Iowa; three sons, Bradley (Liz) of Overland Park, Kan. Bryan (Jody) of Bonner Springs, Kan. and Darren (Dawn) of Olathe; and six grandchildren.
