Nehemiah married Sarah{Salome}Slusser 17~February~1817 in Fairfield Co Ohio.
In December of 2015 i could not find a marriage license.
Nehemiah Bennett, retired farmer was born in Luzene Co. Pa., April~3~1793 he came to Ohio with his parents Charles & Mary Bennett in 1809, & located in Franklin Co. where in May 1817 he married Miss Sarah Slusser, daughter of Tobias Slusser. Miss Slusser was born in Lehigh Co. Pa., 26~March~1799 & came to Franklin Co. Ohio in 1809.
Mr & Mrs Bennett settled in Franklin Co.& remained three years, when they came to Shelby Co & settled on Section 7 Franklin Twp. where Mr Bennett now resides with his grandson Milton Bennett, his wife having died 5~Sept~1879. He served in the War of 1812 & now draws a pension for his service. He had made farming his vocation through his life until a few years since, when he retired from business. he reared a family of nine children Stephen born 1818, Tobias born 1820, Nathan born 1823, Charles born 1825, Jacob born 1828, Eliza born 1830, Clarissa born 1834, SARAH JANE{MYERS] BORN 1837, Henry born 1839, four of whom are yet living, Charles, Jacob, Eliza, and SARAH JANE. He was 89years 9month 22 days when he died.
