Susan was the daughter of Major Benjamin and Mary Edwards Whitaker Helm, of Hardin County Kentucky. This branch of the Helm family is a part of John LaRue Helm and not Moses Helm's branch. Susan was the first wife of James Alexander McReynolds, they had five known children. The original birth and death dates that I listed (August 20,1813 and June 3, 1850) came from the McReynolds Cemetery listing in the Christian County Cemetery Book. When I photographed the tomb the writing was very hard to read and I could not get a photograph clear enough to identify the dates. From further research and corespondence I feel the dates that I have changed to are correct.
