Jacob G. Fordyce, 77 years, died Tuesday, October 1, 1957, in his home on Seventh avenue. He had been ill a long time. Mr. Fordyce was a son of Albert and Malissa Burge Fordyce, and was born January 10, 1888, in Center Township. He was a member of Willow Grove Christian Church. Surviving are his wife, Mary Longstreth Fordyce; one daughter, Mrs. Blanche Smouse, at home; two sons, Wilbert and Carl Fordyce, at home; six grandchidren, two sisters, Mrs. Ells Hudson of Waynesburg, and Mrs. Olive Haines of Waynesburg; two brothers, Henry Fordyce of Waynesburg, and Ottie Fordyce of Clarksville. One son, Lawrence, two sisters, and one brother are deceased.
