Charles E. Alsop, 86, Tehachapi, CA, formerly of Indianapolis, IN, passed away Friday, November 2, 2007 in Laguna Hills, CA. He was born on November 3, 1921 to Mr. Ebert and Lucretia (Harbin) Alsop. He retired from U. S. Postal Service in 1981, Los Angeles, CA. after 27 years of service and served in the U. S. Army during WWII. He was also active in the American Legion. He was a former member of Calvary Tebernacle, Indianapolis, IN. Mr. Alsop is survived by 7 children; son, John (Jane) Alsop, of Florence, OR; daughters, Joy (William) M. Elsey of New Palestine, IN, Barbara (Alan) Graas, of Coarsegold, CA, Charlene (Carl) Leggieri of Alexandria, VA, Karen (Stephen) Black of Menlo Park, CA, Cheryl (Bill) Minshew, of Tustin, CA, and Patty (Chris) Jung of Mission Viejo, CA; fifteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren. One brother Jack (Jean) Alsop and one sister Ruby (Tom) Mattingly. Entombment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Linton, IN.
