Anna was the daughter of William Richard Wade and Cora Ellen Conner/Webster. At age 17, she married Roscoe Albert Troxell in Mt. Dora, Florida. Upon returning to Kenton County, KY, she and Roscoe became the parents to two children; Ella Mae and Charles Franklin. The family relocated to Missouri, where ten additional children were born; Velma Lorene, William Roscoe, Thomas Neal, Robert Wade, Mary Frances, John Edward, Bernard James, Owen Wayne, Elsie Ruth, and Dorothy Helen.

In April of 1936, Anna became ill with lobar pneumonia and passed away on the morning of May 6, 1936 at the age of 38.

Her son, Thomas, who was only 11 when she passed, described her as being "loving" and "caring." He recalled that she would load up the children in the family's Model T and take them to church and to visit her parents. He also remembered waking up at night and seeing her hard at work sewing, repairing, and resizing clothing for the children.

Anna may have only lived a short time, but she will always be remembered by her posterity with love and reverence.
