Elsie M. Ayers
Mrs. Elsie M. Avers. 88,504 Cherry St.. Roaring Spring, died Tuesday evening. May 23, 2000, at Morrisons Cove Home, Martinsburg.
She was born Jan. 7.1912, in Roaring Spring, the daughter of Richard and Maude (Wentz) McNally.
She married Isaac A. Ayers April 12,1953, in Roaring Spring.
Mrs. Ayers was a member of Albright Church of the Brethren, Roaring Spring.
She had taught the children's Sunday school class and served as a former secretary of the church Sunday school department.
She formerly was employed at Blank Book Co.
Mrs. Ayers enjoyed reading, flowers and her church.
She served as a former treasurer for the Albright Cemetery Association.
Surviving is her husband.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at J. Gary Thompson Funeral Home, Roaring Spring.
AYERS -Funeral services for Elsie M. Ayers of 504 Cherry St., Roaring Spring,
will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Albright Church of the Brethren, Roaring Spring, by the Rev. Ronald Page and the Rev. Michael Olivieri.
Interment will be made at Alto-Reste Park, Altoona.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at J. Gary Thompson Funeral Home, Roaring Spring.
Surviving are two nieces: Sherry Fick of Westville, N.J., and Louise Hidlebaugh of Pasadena, Texas.
She was preceded in death by two brothers: Gerald and Oscar; and a
sister, Vera Fick.
Memorial contributions may be given to Albright Church of the Brethren, Roaring Spring.
