Rosaline V. Coates, 75, of Rt. 4, Leitchfield died September 25, 1984 at the Norton-Children's Hospital in Louisville. / She was born January 20, 1909, in Missouri, the daughter of David and Abbey Walton Gideon. Her husband, Lawrence Coates, survives. / She was a housewife and a member of the Claggett Baptist Church. / Other survivors include: one daughter, Deloris Harrell, of Leitchfield; four sons, Lawrence David and Arnold Coates both of Louisville, Ronald of Leitchfield and Arthur Coates of Indiana; one sister, Edith Martin of Illinois; two brothers, Foster Gideon of Illinois and Charles Gideon of Missouri. Also surviving are 19 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. / Funeral services were held September 28 at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield with Rev. Fred Whitmore officiating, burial in Leitchfield Memory Gardens.
