He is also survived by his mother, Carolyn L. Hayes, sons, Michael (Marie) Aldrich and Justin Carnegie and his fiance, Ivy Bannister, daughter, Maggie Carnegie, and brothers, Brian Chase, Bernard Chase and Bennett (Susan) Hayes.
He was preceded in death by his father, stepfather, Daniel Hayes, and brother, Skip Chase.
Barry was a partner in the family business, Maaco Auto Painting on Brandywine Drive in Peoria. He was formerly employed at Morton Metal Craft.
Barry was a United States Marine Corps veteran, serving from 1972 to 1983, and earned the rank of staff sergeant.
