Death Of Mrs. Laura Steiner
Mother-in-Law of Congressman Burleson Passes Away at Washington
Funeral in Austin
Washington, October 28. Representative and Mrs. Albert Burleson left this afternoon for Austin with the body of Mrs. Laura Steiner, mother of Mrs. Burleson, who died in Washington this morning. The death will prevent Mr. Burleson from accompanying the other members of the Appropriations Committee of the House of Representatives on their trip to the Panama Canal Zone tomorrow.

Mrs. Steiner's home was in Austin, and she will be buried there. She was the widow of Dr. Josephus Murray Steiner, an eminent surgeon in the Army before the Civil War.

Learns of Mrs. Steiner's Death
Waco, Texas, October 29. Honorable C.D. Johns reached here last night from Fowler, and left on the noon train for Austin to be with his family. He learned on reaching here of the death of Mrs. Laura Steiner at Washington, D.C. yesterday. Mrs. Johns is a daughter of Mrs. Steiner, the other daughter being Mrs. Burleson, wife of Congressman Burleson. The funeral will take place next Monday at Austin.
