Lora Gilles Tupes, 75, of Parkersburg, passed away Sunday, Nov. 18, 2007, at St. Joseph's Hospital.
She was born in Fairmont, W.Va., a daughter of Charles and Myrtle Brady Gilles. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.
Lora is survived by her husband, James Tupes; two sons, James C. Tupes of Point Pleasant, W.Va., and John A. Tupes of Terra Haute, Ind.; one daughter, Donna Jo McKinniss of Mineral Wells; five grandchildren, Kristel(Nick) Smith of Austin, Texas, Michael Tupes of Point Pleasant, W.Va., Kristina Snider and Erik Snider, both of Mineral Wells, and Samantha Tupes of Terra Haute, Ind.; and two sisters, Shirley Tennant of Farmington, W.Va., and Ruth Hoult of Riversville, W.Va.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Veda Fry; and one brother, Charles Gilles.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St., Parkersburg, with the Rev. Keith Hostutler officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call from noon until time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
