Mary Tom Boyd, oldest daughter of William Jasper Boyd and Nancy Shively, was born on Sep 21 1861 in Uptonville, Hardin Co., Kentucky. She came to Texas by covered wagon with her parents in 1870 when she was 9 years old. Mary's mother died when she was 13.

She married Brice Austin Biggerstaff son of Benjamin Boone Biggerstaff and Sarah Hall on April 24, 1880 in Tom Bean, Grayson Co. Texas at the age of 19.

Brice & Mary had 12 children, Alfred (Dora Hollingshead}, Florence (Jack Robertson}, Clarence (Willie Lee Dickson), Walter (d 1yr), Aaron Lytle {Mona Jane Donovan), Lillie {John Daniel Carter/Joe Rone}, Cecil # 46572629 {Estella Martin}, Roy {Ida May Swindle), Edna Pearl {Thomas Frederick Staggers}, Alice {Orin V. Miller), Benjamin Boyd {Lillian Haws), & Hattie {Roy Lee Anderson}.

Mary died Sep 26 1932 5 days after her 71st birthday in Tom Bean, Grayson Co., Texas.
