SPRINGFIELD - Mamie I. Adams, 91, of Springfield, formerly of Chesterfied, died at 10:10 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11, 2007, at Memorial Medical Center.

She was born Jan. 24, 1916, in Wayne County, the daughter of George W. and Grace (Hearn) Foster. She married Robert H. Adams on July 2, 1949, in Morganfield, Ky.; he died Nov. 11, 1996.

She was a homemaker and a member of Parkway Christian Church and Plainview Order of the Eastern Star 665.

Survivors include four daughters and their husbands, Elaine Hlava (Bill) of Maryville, Christine Boyce (David) of Rochester, Karen Koehler (Gary) of Springfield and Jayne Irwin (Chuck) of Buffalo; a son and his wife, Gene Adams (Marsha) of Springfield; seven grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a step-great-grandchild; a sister, Carol Lee of Fairfield; and three brothers, George Foster of Fairfield, Everrett Foster of Fairfield and Gilbert Foster of Melbourne, Fla.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Carl Foster; and sister, Inez Stover.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2007, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home. Services will follow at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Daniel Krumrei officiating. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, 2007, at Chesterfield Cemetery.

Memorials are designated to Parkway Christian Church in Springfield.

Landers Funeral Home in Bunker Hill is in charge of arrangements.
