PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. Eunice K. Gossage-Newton, 75, resident of Port Charlotte, Fla., passed away May 21, 2005, in Port Charlotte.
She was born April 18, 1930, in New Lisbon, Ind., the daughter of Willard and Retta (Ramsey) Gossage. She worked for General Motors until her retirement in 1986.
She had been a longtime resident of Middletown and Anderson before moving to Florida in the late 1980s.
She will be greatly missed by her husband of 15 years, George Andrews; sons, Kenny (Jean) Norfleet and Mike (Rixalyn) Coleman of Middletown; daughter, Sheryl (Kurt) Coleman-Jones of Port Charlotte, Fla.; sister, Phyllis Fernander of New Castle; grandchildren, Jimmy Norfleet, Craig and Nancy Ford, Kiley and Emily Coleman, Megan, Ashley, Jason and Kevin Jones; great-granddaughter, Kathryn Nichole Kearns; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Lynn Norfleet; husbands, Raymond Norfleet, Robert Coleman and Ernie Newton; as well as three brothers, Willard, William and Robert Gossage.
A memorial celebration of Eunice's life will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 S. Fifth St., Middletown, with Pastor Charlie Soden and Marty Ballard officiating. Burial will follow in Miller Cemetery in Middletown.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Hospice of SW Florida, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34238."
