He was born in McAlester, the son of Elmer R. and Jean (Deweese) Miller. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, and after his discharge he attended Vo-Tech where he took carpentry classes. He attended the Spartan School of Aeronautics before working for Cessna Aircraft in Wichita, Kansas, for several years. He married Kathy Workman on May 12, 1973, in McAlester. He enjoyed playing the guitar, hunting, fishing, building crafts and spending time with his family and friends. A resident of Haywood, he passed away at the age of 50 in McAlester. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Miller on April 30, 1996; paternal grandparents, Jasper and Lela Miller; and maternal grandparents, Myrtle and Samuel DeWeese.
