Mrs. Jennie B Anderson, 85, 724 Highland, died at 7 am Thursday in Asbury Hospital where she had been a patient five weeks. Death was due to a heart ailment.
Mrs Anderson was born Jan 14, 1871, on the Muir farm on the north edge of Salina, west of St John's Military School.
Mrs Anderson was believed to be the oldest living resident of Salina who was born in this city. She was the oldest living member of the First Presbyterian Church, her membership dating back to Dec 8, 1885.
She was married to John G Anderson, March 16, 1892. He died in 1908. They lived on a farm near Mentor.
Surviving is one daughter, Florence E of the home.
The funeral will be at 2 :30 pm Saturday in the First Presbyterian Church, the Rev. James S Elliott officiating. Burial will be in Gypsum Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Rush Smith Funeral Home from 5 pm to 9 pm Friday and from 1:30 until the service at the church.


There is one more child Helen M Anderson. Don't know if she was married. Birth 1894, Died 1931. Burial place unknown. Does not appear on Salina website of deaths.
