Don't know if you want to put it into info on your find a grave site, (and I'm NOT related) but this Charles M Boyd (Platte City Cemetery was according to Wm Paxton (Annals of Platte Co MO) shot to death in Platte City. This letter about him was in the Missouri Digital Heritage archives:

We the undersigned of Platte County Mo. And appointed to enroll the Disloyal persons of Carroll Township, do certify that we have intimately known Chas M Boyd since the commencement
of the present difficulties , and know him to have been and still know him to be a steadfast and Reliable, Unflinching and outspoken Union man, and knowing him to be such cheerfully recommend him to you for the office of Probate Judge of Platte County Missouri. Mr. Boyd is an Attorney by profession, and one in every way qualified to make us a good Probate Judge. A Sober, industrious and trustworthy Gentlemen.
