She was born in Patrick County on October 2, 1935, to Grady Foley and Emma Prillaman Foley. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Guy A. "Buck" Deshazo Sr., and one brother, David Foley.
She retired with more than 31 years of service with DuPont.
Surviving are one daughter, Joy D. Hall of Ridgeway; one stepdaughter, Gloria Rakes of Ridgeway; one son, David D. Deshazo, and one stepson, Guy Deshazo Jr., both of Ridgeway; three sisters, Loretta Ingram and Jean Ross, both of Bassett, and Jackie Dunkley; three brothers. Stafford Foley, Lee Foley and Moir Foley, all of Patrick Springs, four grandchildren, six stepgrandchildren, three stepgreat-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at Community Funeral Services in Ridgeway with director Kelly G. Ratcliff officiating. Burial was in Roselawn Burial Park.
