Mrs. Sadie Cordelia Luke Boswell, 69, wife of the late Socratus Glenn Boswell, entered into rest at the residence, 932 Holden street, yesterday at 6:55 a.m. after any illness of three months. Funeral services will be conducted this afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at Marks Baptist church, the Rev. Joseph S. Dukes officiating, assisted by the Rev. Leroy Harris. Burial will be in the Pierce Chapel cemetery. Pallbearers will be Marion L. Sumerau and the deacons of Marks Baptist church, who are Ernest Martin, Albert Haddlesay, Tom Camp, Charlie Holmes and Wilson J. Bryant, Sr. The body will be at the Elliott Sons Funeral home until the hour of the services. Mrs. Boswell was a lifelong resident of Richmond county. She was a charter member of the Women's Missionary union of Marks Baptist church and was a former Sunday school teacher. Surviving are two sons, Luther B. Boswell of Spartanburg, S.C. and Johnny F. Boswell of Augusta; five brothers, C.F. Luke, E.J. Luke, W.D. Luke and M.I. Luke, all of Augusta, and T.W. Luke of Evans, Ga; a sister Mrs. W. L. Phillips of Augusta; and five grandchildren.
