Kathleen M. Barnett, 87, of Lancaster, Ohio, passed away Friday, October 19, 2007, in Valley View Nursing Home.

She was born in West Virginia on June 12, 1920, a daughter of the late George and Icie (Cottrill) Milstead.

She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church where she was a faithful Sunday School teacher for many years and was active in the Food Pantry and Altar Guild. She retired from Anchor Hocking.

Kathleen is survived by one step-son, Tom Barnett of Lancaster; step-daughters, Saundra (Steve) Hanson of Lancaster and Judy (Rich) Kelly of Bremen, Ohio; step-grandchildren, Todd (Leslee) Hanson, Alisha (Jason) Fries, Glenita Foraker and Danny Barnett; and many nieces and nephews..

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Theodore (Ted) Denney; second husband, Alva Barnett; brothers, Virgil Cottrell and Russell Williams; and a sister, Bernadine Tobin.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home with Pastor Diana Gugel officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Our Savior Lutheran Church, 1920 West Fair Avenue, Lancaster, Ohio 43130.
