Frances M. Caltrider

Frances M. Caltrider, 81, of Marietta, formerly of Vienna and Parkersburg, died Sept. 26, 2004, at Heartland of Marietta.

She was born March 19, 1923, in Wirt County, a daughter of the late Virgil A. and Minnie Lynch Sheppard. She was a 1941 graduate of Parkersburg High School and a graduate of Mountain State Business College. She had been a member of the Vienna Baptist Church for more than 50 years, where she was secretary from 1957 to 1985. She played the piano and sang in the choir, and was church clerk for 17 years. She served as secretary for Baptist Temple in Parkersburg for several years. She had been a volunteer with the Camden-Clark Auxiliary.

She is survived by three daughters, Becky Ingram and her husband, Paul, of St. Marys, Marilyn Hryb and her husband, Ken, of Marietta and Carole Sheppard of the Charleston, W.Va., area; five grandchildren, Jay Taylor of Oviedo, Fla., Andy Ingram and his wife, Cheryl, of St. Marys, Jeremy Ingram and his wife, Laura, of Lexington, Ky., Ryan Bates and his fiancée, Diana Trussell, and Robyn Knaus and her husband, Dan, all of Marietta.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil A. Caltrider.

Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2004, at the Ingram Funeral Home, St. Marys, with the Rev. Nathan Williams officiating. Burial will be in Parkersburg Memorial Gardens. Calling hours are 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
