April 13, 1992 - Carroll Sentinel - D.W. Folken died this morning at the home of his son, William, at between 10 and 11 o'clock from inflamation of the lungs and old age. A few moments before he passed away, he was sitting up in a chair and asked to be placed in bed and in a short time he was dead.
The deceased was able to be downtown Monday and was only compelled to remain in the house a short time before his death. Mr Fokken was a queit, gentlemanly fellow who had many friends and no enemies. All who knew him respected him and his loss will be deeply felt by his relatives and friends.
